1. Boil lentils (like half a bag) or 3 cups depending on much to feed
2. Keep stove on boil and cut up (small pieces):

a. 3 or 4 potatoes
b. 2 or 3 medium onions
c. 3 or 4 carrots

3. After cutting them up pour all of them in the pot, add cumin and salt and stir and keep boiling for like 10-15 minutes.
4. Then lower the temperature (somewhere between low and medium) and add like half a cup to a cup or so of white vinegar (depending on taste) and then add like 1/4 cup of pomegranate molasses (optional since it's expensive) or to taste (it has slight tangy sweetness that not everyone may like). If one doesn't have pomegranate molasses but wants some sweetness, just add a little sugar to taste (sugar with the white vinegar mimics the tangy sweetness of molasses).

5. Let it simmer until it gets to a consistency that you like (either soupy or stewy)
6. Serve with bread or rice (or just by itself).

***Note*** These measurements are approximate, everything should be added or subtracted according to taste.
